This is an original, one-of-a-kind artwork created with oil paints on 1.5" thick canvas. The painting is varnished with a Damar varnish to protect it from dirt and light. I paint the edges of the canvas in black so it may be displayed without a frame. The painting is wired and ready to hang.
Like most of my work, this piece is inspired by the organic forms and textures of nature. In creating it, I continue to explore a personal technique that is analogous to the fluid geological processes that shape our environment. The painting evolves in layers, manifesting a kind of dialogue between my emotions and the chemical reactions of the materials.
